Every motor, stator, armature, and coil you ship — tested to your spec, stamped pass or fail, and on the record. ESW builds the end-of-line test systems that protect your production, your customers, and your name.
And with ESW Certified Care, the protection runs both ways: as long as we calibrate and maintain your tester, its warranty renews every year.
Pick your industry, or start from the problem that brought you here. Both roads end at the same place: a test process you can stand behind.
What we build for plants like yours.
If one of these sounds familiar, we should talk.
Your quality system requires documented, scheduled calibration of production test equipment. Most shops buy it ad hoc and hope. Certified Care makes it a standing program — and at the Care tier, every year ESW calibrates and maintains your system, its limited warranty renews for another 12 months. We built the machine. We're the only ones who can stand behind it like that.
ESW started in Al Naegeli's basement in Racine, after a neighbor described a problem the motor industry had lived with for years: armature testing that wasn't good enough. Al built something better and delivered the first system that same year. Fifty years and two generations later, the habit hasn't changed — listen carefully, build honestly, stand behind it. Our degreed electrical and mechanical engineers still design every system to your application, build it on our own floor, run it off with your team, and answer the phone afterward. Hundreds of ESW systems are at work across the United States and Mexico — many for the second or third generation of the same customer.
Al Naegeli founds ESW and ships the company's first armature test system to a local motor manufacturer the same year.
ESW builds the Racine facility it still designs, builds, and tests in today.
One of the industry's first fully computerized armature testers — years ahead of the market.
PC-based testing, standardized armature and stator platforms, and the first Windows-based tester — the lineage behind Trend Tracker.
Al passes the company to Tim and Linda Naegeli, who expand into motor test, noise & vibration, and wire bonding — and pioneer electronic scanning, weld testing, and masterless testing.
Engineering, production, and test under one roof — and the same promise, in Tim's words: we work side by side with every customer.
